🎯About the Role
You will work closely with our commercial Product Managers and Telecom team, taking ownership of the technical implementation and stable operation of our eSIM and telecom services.
The Telecom team remains responsible for telco sourcing, provider relationships, roaming agreements, and initial telco requirements. Your role is to turn Service Catalogs, vendor capabilities, coverage, plan rules, and provisioning constraints into a working product — from technical requirements and integration changes to QA scenarios, support/debug flows, and ongoing maintenance.
📝Responsibilities
- Work with inputs from the Telecom team, including Service Catalogs, vendor capabilities, coverage, plan rules, provisioning requirements, and technical constraints.
- Own the technical layer of the eSIM lifecycle: allocation, download/install, activation, network registration, usage, throttling, expiry, top-up, and related edge cases.
- Work with ICCID, IMSI, EID, MSISDN, APN, SM-DP+, activation codes/QR codes, plan mapping, and provisioning statuses.
- Launch and manage integrations and plan changes involving vendor APIs, webhooks, status mapping, error handling, retries, idempotency, logging, and monitoring.
- Work closely with the Support team to collect and prioritize recurring issues, user incidents, and edge cases, quickly translating them into investigations, workarounds, quick fixes, or systematic tasks for Engineering, QA, or Telecom.
- Investigate live issues together with Support, Engineering, and Telecom: identify where the failure occurred, what data is required, who owns the issue, what needs to be fixed, and how the result should be verified.
- Prepare clear and actionable tasks for Engineering and QA, including context, requirements, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Own changes through post-release checks and keep technical documentation and support/debug tooling up to date.
- Use AI tools to analyze incidents, improve documentation and technical requirements, and identify gaps and edge cases.
⚡Requirements
- Hands-on experience in telecom, eSIM, connectivity, roaming, MVNO/MVNE/MNO, or carrier integrations.
- Strong understanding of the eSIM lifecycle and activation/provisioning flows, including ICCID, IMSI, EID, SM-DP+, APN, and network registration.
- Understanding of Apple/iOS eSIM provisioning, device compatibility, carrier/profile settings, SPN/operator display name, and common installation and activation issues.
- Experience working with telco/vendor APIs, webhooks, statuses, logs, errors, and troubleshooting production integrations.
- Ability to turn technical and support issues into clear product and engineering changes.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and/or Notion.
