KEBA Novi Sad is part of the Austrian KEBA Group, a technology company with more than 50 years of experience in industrial automation, energy management, banking automation, e-mobility and logistics.

Location & work model

This role is based in Novi Sad. We work in a hybrid setup with one guaranteed home office day per week, while additional remote days are possible depending on the project and team needs. Since we are building a new engineering capability from the ground up, we believe close day-to-day collaboration is essential. That's why this is primarily an on-site role.

Help us build KEBA's Data Platform

KEBA is building an enterprise data platform that will provide the foundation for data, analytics and AI across the entire Group.

After developing our first data products, exploring different architectural approaches and building our Data Engineering capability, we are now entering the next phase: turning what we have built into a reliable, secure and scalable platform.

For that, we are looking for a Data Platform Engineer (DataOps).

You will work alongside Data Engineers and experienced internal and external experts, taking ownership of the infrastructure, automation and operational foundations that allow our data platform to scale.

We are building a platform for the next decade—not for the next sprint. That also shapes the way we work: we value automation, thoughtful engineering, sustainable pace and long-term thinking over constant firefighting.

What will you actually do?

Your focus will be on making our data platform reliable, repeatable and easy to operate.

You will automate deployments, manage cloud infrastructure, establish observability and operational practices, and help Data Engineers deploy and operate their workloads safely and efficiently.

This is not a role where you simply operate an established platform. You will help define how DataOps is done at KEBA.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve our enterprise data platform
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes using GitLab
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code across platform environments
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting and operational support
• Improve platform reliability, performance, availability and infrastructure cost efficiency
• Support Data Engineers in deploying, operating and troubleshooting data workloads
• Help shape platform security, access management and compliance practices
• Take ownership of DataOps topics and contribute to the technical evolution of the platform

Requirements

• Professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DataOps or a similar role
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD and release management
• Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool
• Good understanding of cloud networking concepts
• Programming or scripting experience, preferably Python and/or SQL
• Experience with monitoring, logging and troubleshooting production systems
• Strong automation mindset, ownership and problem-solving skills
• Professional proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks or similar data platforms
• Experience with Databricks Asset Bundles
• Knowledge of Azure networking technologies such as VNets, Private Endpoints and ExpressRoute
• Experience with Docker and containerized workloads
• Experience with security, identity and access management in Azure environments
• Experience working closely with Data Engineering teams
